Gonkong.
Inside Telegram.
A mobile client for a private community.
The forum, conversations, Coub and music, all inside Telegram.

Feed.
Conversations.
Coub.
Music.

Built around
the community.
Gonkong already had its own forum, people and culture. I built a Telegram Mini App that connects to that existing forum, using members’ existing accounts.
The work covers the interface and its interactions, the frontend, and the backend connecting it to the forum. It is a working product for a closed community, and a demonstration of the Mini Apps I build.
A menu
you can pull.
The bottom navigation stretches and peels under your thumb, with haptic feedback. A long press on the feed opens the way to Coub and music.
Keep your place.
Comments open as a sheet over the feed or a photo. Swipe the sheet away and carry on where you were.
Music has a dedicated player. Return to the feed and the track stays with you in a mini player.
Discuss your Mini AppA player of its own.
A dedicated player for the community’s Coub posts.

See it
in motion.
A tour of the feed, players and conversations, made from recordings of the actual app.

Behind the interface.
React & FastAPI
A React and TypeScript interface, backed by FastAPI and Redis for forum sessions.
At home in Telegram
Fullscreen, haptics, back navigation and theme support, with a browser version alongside the Mini App.
Have a Mini App in mind?
Let’s talk about what it needs to do.
